Veterinarian and PhD, Full Professor at the University of Chile, with a solid track record in applied research on food safety and the control of residues and contaminants in foods of animal origin. She currently directs the FARMAVET and INOCUIVET laboratories, which are integrated into the country’s official food safety programs, and leads the Center for Antimicrobial Stewardship in Aquaculture (CASA), a collaborating center of the World Organisation for Animal Health. In addition, she actively participates in national and international regulatory bodies, representing the academic sector on Chile’s Codex Alimentarius Committee.
