Alexander Jaramillo Torres, DVM, PhD in Biological Sciences with specialization in Aquaculture from the University of Plymouth (UK), is currently Health and Food Safety Coordinator at INTESAL. With international experience in Chile, the United Kingdom, and Norway, he has led initiatives focused on antimicrobial reduction, animal welfare, regulatory compliance, and sustainability in the salmon industry.
Senior Health Scientist at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), where he works on nutrition, food safety, and risk prioritization within the Human Foods Program. He has extensive experience in food policy, regulatory development, and cross-agency coordination.
