Social anthropologist and holds a Master’s degree in Environment from the University of Melbourne. She has more than ten years of experience in marine and coastal governance and planning, facilitating participatory processes aimed at the conservation and sustainable use of marine ecosystems. She currently serves as National Coordinator of the GEF Marine Coastal Governance Project in Chile, implemented by FAO together with the Ministry of Environment, the Undersecretariat for Fisheries and Aquaculture, and SERNAPESCA, where she leads initiatives to strengthen coastal governance, marine spatial planning, and the development of a sustainable blue economy.
Academic and researcher recognized for his work in genetics and genomics applied to aquaculture and genetic improvement.
Attorney-at-law, Ph.D. in Law and Master’s in Public Law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. Professor of Constitutional Law since 2006, with published books and articles in specialized legal journals. She has held senior legal positions within Chile’s fisheries and aquaculture institutions, including Head of the Legal Division at the Undersecretariat for Fisheries and Aquaculture (Subpesca) and Deputy Legal Director at the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Service (Sernapesca). She has actively contributed to the drafting and implementation of fisheries and aquaculture legislation and has represented Chile in national and international forums.
