With an academic background from the University of Chile and an MBA from Columbia Business School, Alberto del Pedregal has built his career in corporate strategy within the aquaculture industry. He currently serves as Strategy and Corporate Development Deputy Manager at Multi X, where he drives initiatives focused on growth, innovation, and continuous improvement. His role involves contributing to the definition and execution of strategic priorities, as well as leading key projects aimed at strengthening the company’s long-term development. He is recognized for his analytical approach and his ability to support strategic decision-making in dynamic and competitive environments.

Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Aquaculture from the University of Stirling (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland), a Diploma in Financial Aquaculture from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), Mexico, and a B.Sc. in Oceanography from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC), Mexico. Since joining the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in 1996, he has led sustainable aquaculture development initiatives in more than 45 countries. He currently serves as Fisheries and Aquaculture Officer at the FAO Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, based in Santiago, Chile, where he promotes innovative policies and solutions to strengthen the resilience and sustainability of the sector in the region.
Social anthropologist and holds a Master’s degree in Environment from the University of Melbourne. She has more than ten years of experience in marine and coastal governance and planning, facilitating participatory processes aimed at the conservation and sustainable use of marine ecosystems. She currently serves as National Coordinator of the GEF Marine Coastal Governance Project in Chile, implemented by FAO together with the Ministry of Environment, the Undersecretariat for Fisheries and Aquaculture, and SERNAPESCA, where she leads initiatives to strengthen coastal governance, marine spatial planning, and the development of a sustainable blue economy.
Veterinarian with extensive experience in fish health and nutrition, primarily within the Chilean salmon industry. He currently serves as Technical Manager at Salmones Antártica S.A., overseeing key areas such as fish health, quality control, environmental management, and quality assurance.
