Don't miss the opportunity to participate in the largest aquaculture event in the Southern Hemisphere!
Within the framework of Aquasur 2026, the main industry leaders highlighted the authority’s management for its promotion of innovation and the strengthening of the public-private alliance in favor of sustainable development.
At the Aquasur 2026 formal dinner, the aquaculture trade show organized by Fisa, part of the GL events group, representatives from the sector’s main associations, such as the Salmon Council, Salmon Chile, AmiChile, and Salmoneros de Magallanes, paid special tribute to the Undersecretary of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Osvaldo Urrutia. His commitment and leadership in promoting the sustainable development of the national aquaculture industry were highlighted.
During the evening, held at the Radisson Hotel in Puerto Varas, the association leaders presented the Undersecretary with a commemorative plaque in gratitude for his ongoing support in strengthening the industry, promoting technological innovation, and fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors.
The tribute took place in the presence of the ambassadors of the United States, Norway, Denmark, and France, regional authorities, representatives of national and international companies, such as CMPC, AquaChile, and Blumar, and delegations from the main producing countries. All this took place in a friendly atmosphere that reaffirmed Aquasur’s importance as a meeting point for global aquaculture.
Upon receiving the award, Undersecretary Urrutia expressed his gratitude on behalf of President José Antonio Kast and Minister of Economy Daniel Mas. “I want to thank you for this tremendous fair. I am very surprised and impressed by the level of organization of this world-class event. We hope to participate more frequently in all areas of cooperation within the aquaculture sector,” he said.
