Don't miss the opportunity to participate in the largest aquaculture event in the Southern Hemisphere!
The company will present natural fiber-based packaging solutions for the aquaculture industry at its stand, focusing on product protection, logistical efficiency, and sustainability. It will also showcase three winning projects from its international packaging innovation competition, developed in collaboration with MIT and global partners.
CMPC Corrugados will participate in Aquasur 2026, the most important aquaculture fair in the southern hemisphere, which will be held from March 24 to 26 at a temporary venue located on Route 5, roughly at kilometer 1009, in the Los Lagos Region. The 2026 edition will combine a trade fair, conference, and networking spaces for companies, suppliers, and professionals in the sector.
In this edition, the company renews its role as Main Sponsor and will have a stand, reaffirming its commitment to the competitive and sustainable development of the aquaculture industry. At its stand, CMPC Corrugados will exhibit corrugated cardboard packaging solutions made from recyclable natural fibers, designed to protect the product, optimize the cooling chain, and improve logistics efficiency. All in line with the company’s guiding principle: “The best of Chile, protected until it reaches its destination.”
As part of its value proposition, CMPC Corrugados promotes collaborative innovation at the destination: it co-develops with customers and ecosystem players in the markets themselves, so that the packaging resonates culturally and responds to real purchasing, usage, and logistics needs. This way of working translates into more effective design decisions and natural fiber-based packaging that facilitates operation, display, and export performance.
Within this same framework, the company will share the results of its international packaging design competition (second edition held in 2025 with a focus on exports to the United States) at Aquasur. The competition was organized in conjunction with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), through MITdesignX, and the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC), in collaboration with Multi X and with the support of ProChile and SalmonChile–Intesal. The competition brought together more than 80 participants and selected three proposals for their contribution to sustainability, logistical efficiency, structural design, and consumer experience.
According to Felipe Morales, Innovation Manager at CMPC Corrugados, “this way of working seeks to transcend the traditional role of supplier and consolidate the company as a strategic partner in the aquaculture industry, integrating technical performance, circularity, and a deep understanding of the end consumer.”
With its dual role as Main Sponsor and exhibitor, CMPC Corrugados is coming to Aquasur 2026 to contribute to technical dialogue within the sector, exchange knowledge, and explore new co-developments with producers, processors, and exporters. The company invites attendees to visit its stand during the three days of the fair to learn about these solutions and discuss next steps.
