Don't miss the opportunity to participate in the largest aquaculture event in the Southern Hemisphere!
Ahead of the start of the most important aquaculture fair in the southern hemisphere, experts met to coordinate strategies to ensure the smooth running of the exhibition.
A meeting of the Aquasur 2026 Risk Management Committee was held at the offices of FISA, a leading event management company in Chile and part of the French group GL events. This committee met on January 20, 2026, to assess the status of the fair’s setup and ensure the necessary conditions for its proper development.
The meeting was attended by members of FISA’s operations department, led by its manager, Ximena Barra, together with experts Patricio Toro, director of Tr4Chile, and Patricio Canales, from SOLTEC, the company responsible for setting up the electrical system that will supply power to the Aquasur facilities.
The new Private Security Law, which includes a specific chapter on the staging of large-scale events, was one of the topics discussed at the meeting. Aquasur highlighted its ongoing coordination with the Chilean police force and its new private security department in order to comply with the provisions of the regulations.
Another aspect addressed was the logistics for preventing forest fires, considering the seasonality and location of the fair’s facilities. To this end, the Aquasur organization is in dialogue with Senapred and the Chilean Fire Department.
Rodrigo Bastidas, manager of the fair, said: “We want participants to have a first-class experience, which is why we are in communication with local authorities and working together with risk prevention professionals to ensure the smooth running of the exhibition.”
Likewise, the need to incorporate facilities that ensure universal accessibility in order to comply with international inclusion standards was established. The same was proposed for carbon footprint traceability, a requirement that the organization demanded of both suppliers and exhibitors, with a view to following the guidelines established in France by GL events.
