Don't miss the opportunity to participate in the largest aquaculture event in the Southern Hemisphere!
The platform, which debuts at AquaSur 2026, combines real-time validation algorithms with efficient inventory management (CAPEX), allowing salmon farms to secure their facilities even in areas without connectivity.
At AquaSur 2026, the region’s most important aquaculture trade show, the Chilean company FondeApp officially launched its platform designed to transform the supervision and execution of mooring projects.
This tool comes at a key moment for the national industry, where technical precision and regulatory compliance have become fundamental pillars for operational continuity.
Developed by sector expert Robinson Mansilla Vera and systems engineer Wladimir Córdova, FondeApp was created to bridge the technological gap in the installation of aquaculture centers. The application directly addresses the requirements of the new Resolution 941 – which modifies Resolution 1821 – issued by the Undersecretariat of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Subpesca), providing companies with the assurance that their offshore structures accurately reflect the approved engineering designs.
Structural safety throughout the south
One of FondeApp’s greatest strengths is its ability to operate in the “digital shadow.” Since many fish farms are located in channels and fjords with limited connectivity, the app has been equipped with an asynchronous synchronization system. This allows field personnel to record critical data without internet access, which is automatically backed up to the cloud as soon as the signal is restored.
The core of the innovation lies in its validation algorithm. FondeApp not only records data but also analyzes it: each tensile test is linked to immutable UTM 18G coordinates. If the load value does not reach the safety threshold defined by engineering, the system blocks the compliance record.
This preventative function is vital for eliminating human error and mitigating critical risks, such as mass fish escapes resulting from structural failures.
Intelligent Asset Management and Legal Support
Beyond safety, the application introduces an advanced material inventory management module. This tool allows operations managers to comprehensively track strategic assets such as anchors, deadweights, chains, and buoys, monitoring their fatigue and lifespan. With an auditable technical history, companies can optimize their CAPEX investment and present irrefutable evidence for inspections by Sernapesca (National Fisheries Service) or the Maritime Authority.
FondeApp acts as an indispensable digital link between engineering offices and anchoring vessels. Backed by an innovation patent registered with INAPI (Chilean National Institute of Industrial Property) and intellectual property protection from the Department of Intellectual Property Rights (DDI), the platform offers an original, secure solution that is fully compliant with current regulations.
The FondeApp team will be present throughout the exhibition in Puerto Montt, conducting live demonstrations and advising managers and engineers on how to digitize and standardize their anchoring processes with complete confidence.
