Don't miss the opportunity to participate in the largest aquaculture event in the Southern Hemisphere!
Work has begun on a strategically located site on Route 5 South to install 20,000 square kilometers of usable space for the most important aquaculture fair in the southern hemisphere.
This week, a delegation from Aquasur’s operations department traveled to the Los Lagos Region with a shipment of tents, aluminum structures, and other crucial elements for the infrastructure that will house the exhibition.
This is a project that involves the deployment of logistical capabilities, the use of top-quality materials, and the coordination of ten experts in the assembly from scratch of exhibition pavilions for a large influx of visitors.
Marcelo Olivares, production coordinator for Aquasur’s operations department, said that “the assembly is carried out by a specialized team, ensuring an efficient, orderly process that meets the highest standards of quality and safety.” This task is performed by the company Carpas Goñi.
In addition to the installation of tents provided by the company Tarpulin, the process involves the placement of signage, stands, modules, electrical connections, and internet. In this regard, Olivares added: “A total of 20,000 square meters of tents will be installed, consisting of reinforced aluminum structures specifically designed to withstand winds of up to 100 kilometers per hour.”
This design for Aquasur 2026, which guarantees the functionality and safety of the facilities throughout the event, even in adverse weather conditions, follows the sustainability and development guidelines established in the Salmon Plan 2050, an initiative promoted by the mayor of Puerto Montt, Rodrigo Wainraight, and other relevant local industry players to position the city as the world capital of salmon.
