BRANDS
Chile ranks as the world’s second-largest producer of salmon, accounting for 33% of global production. Its leadership in the aquaculture sector is reflected not only in production volume but also in export capacity, with key markets including the United States (US$ 2.877 billion), Japan (US$ 1.240 billion), and Brazil (US$ 941 million).
One of the pillars of this industry is its strong commitment to sustainability. In response to major environmental and regulatory challenges, Chilean aquaculture has integrated technologies and innovations that enable compliance with strict international standards, promoting responsible and sustainable growth.
The economic impact is equally remarkable: over 774 thousand tons of aquaculture products were exported, generating revenues exceeding US$ 8.8 billion. The total harvest reached 1,089,924 tons.
Additionally, Chilean aquaculture supplies over 100 markets worldwide, supports the development of more than 4,000 small and medium-sized enterprises, and generates over 70,000 direct and indirect jobs in key regions such as La Araucanía, Los Lagos, Aysén, Magallanes, and the Metropolitan Region.
