AQUA SUR SUR is the most important meeting place of the aquaculture-fishing community in the southern hemisphere. It is held every two years in Puerto Montt, the heart of this industry in Chile. Six successful versions have been held since 2002, the year when a cooperation agreement was signed with AQUA NOR, the most important aquaculture event in the northern hemisphere. In 2010 the fair doubled in size and moved to a larger venue: the "AQUA SUR fairground". Organizers AQUA SUR fair is part of Technopress S.A., a company owned by Editec, which is responsible, among other things, of PESCA SUR Fair, AQUA Magazine, AQUA.com directory, the portals www.aqua.cl and www.pescaaldia.cl, and the electronic newsletter "AQUA al día." Technopress has a multidisciplinary professional team, whose mission is supporting the aquaculture-fishing and forestry sectors in their growth, development, and local and international positioning, through actions and products aimed at that objective.
