The event will be held in the second half of the year:
Organizers postpone AQUA SUR 2010
After a thorough analysis of the current situation in Chile, which was hardly hit by the earthquake of February 27, TechnoPress S.A., the firm in charge of organizing the international fair AQUASUR, decided to postpone the event originally to take place between March 24 and 27 in Puerto Montt, Los Lagos Region, Chile.
The decision, which was taken together with government, industry representatives, customers and leading industry players, is based on the following:
-Today, the priority of all the Chilean people is rebuilding our country.
- Understanding the painful and difficult time that thousands of Chileans are going through at present -which not only caused the death of hundreds of the country’s inhabitants but also left many others homeless or with significant losses- TechnoPress considers that today they are the first priority and that we must focus all our energies on them.
Therefore, AQUA SUR 2010 will be held in the second half of the year, between October 20 and 23), when Chile will have partially recovered from the impact of the quake, both with respect to the people’s state of mind and the country’s infrastructure, in order to host an international meeting of this magnitude.
On the other hand, the AQUA SUR conference organized by Fundación Chile has also been postponed to the same date.
